Les Femmes Savantes: Brewing Boiling Simmering
A performative concert installation
Wednesday, September 18, 2013, from 8 pm
In the year prior to its official opening, the KINDL – Centre for Contemporary Art is launching the event series Guests as a way to open, test and animate individual spaces of the former brewery. Guests starts on September 18, 2013 with a concert installation by “Les Femmes Savantes” in the Brew House.
Brewing Boiling Simmering was developed especially for the KINDL Brew House by the experimental music ensemble Les Femmes Savantes in collaboration with light artist Michael Vorfeld. With its set of unusual instruments, the programme literally reverberates in the enormous space with its brewing coppers. Light projections and live videos add to the dense atmosphere of this impressive space. By traversing the space, the light, the speakers and the musicians open up ever new visual and aural perspectives to the audience. As a highlight of the evening, one can enter the brewing coppers to experience the stunning acoustics of their interiors in several short performances.
Doors open: 8 pm
Begin of the concert installation: 8.30 pm
