48 Stunden Neukölln at the KINDL
14  – 16 June 2019
Friday, 14 June from 7 pm to 1 am / Saturday, 15 June von 12 noon to 1 am / Sunday, 16 June from 12 noon to 7 pm

The thematic exhibition brings together 20 artistic positions dedicated to the relationship between past, present and future.

Our present continually dominates the appropriation and interpretation of what happened before us and also of what we foresee or hope for an indeterminate or concrete future. Reconstructions and prognoses are never completely objective either because of technical possibilities, our currently prevailing mentality or the traditional knowledge. Therefore, according to a metaphor, we appear as dwarfs on the shoulders of giants. The culture, science and education of the previous generations is our inherited armament, with the help of which we understand the world and thus generate insights.
